Audience Feedback of Final Magazine

This is the feedback that I have collected from several people of different ages and genders about my final music magazine. I asked each individual to give me feedback on my front page, contents page and double page spreads. 

This feedback is from Megan. Megan is a 17 year old student who enjoys listening to Arctic Monkeys, Kodaline, Jake bugg and Tom Odell. Megan would be part of my target audience.

 

Megan's feedback on my front page shows that she likes the colour scheme of the text because it makes it easy to read. She also likes the type of shot that I used for the picture as it is eye catching. Megan also stated that the layout makes it easy to read.

 

On my contents page, Megan said that she had noticed how the colour scheme has been brought over which makes it easy to know they are all connected. She also liked how the pictures broke up the text which made it easier to read.

 

On the double page spread Megan liked the setting of the pictures as it 'matches the magazine theme'. She also noticed and liked how the maagazine name was in the top left hand corners. Megan stated that she thought the model suited the story.  

This feedback is from Jess. Jess is a 16 year old Student who likes to listen to Catfish and the Bottlemen, Imagine Dragons and The 1975. Jess matches my target audience criteria. 

 

Jess said that on my front page, she like the bright and vibrant colour scheme. She also liked the pull quote as it was short and gave readers an idea of the content. She also liked the blue title and said that the cover stories attract all kinds as there is a variety of different artists on there. 

 

Jess stated that on my contents page, she liked the picture positioning as it clearly indicates the headline story. She also said how the white text stands out against the black background. Jess liked the social media links and thought the title was very original. 

 

Regarding my double page spreads, Jess noticed the bold theme which runs through the whole magazine aswell as the logo that was positioned well. She also mentioned how the model looked very professional and suited the story well. 

This feedback is from Liz who listens to artists such as Oasis, Mumford and Sons and You Me At Six. Liz would be my target audience. 

 

Whilst looking at my front page, Liz liked the modern font and said that the colours were consistent. 

 

She said that there was a good ratio between font and pictures on my contents page. 

 

Liz also like the album cover on my double page spread and she said it look proffesional. 

This feedback is from Jason who is 20 years old and listens to artists such as The Killers, Kasabian and Of Monsters and Men. He is part of my target audience. 

 

When looking at my front cover, Jason said he liked the photograph of the model as it was 'striking'. He also said how her expression compliments the pull quote. Jason also liked the various fonts used on the front page as it added interest. He said the title incorpirated the genre of music. 

 

Jason stated that on my contents page, he liked how the title produced the copyright symbol. He also said with use of the sections, the features were clearand readable. He also said how the images were laid out it was clear which one linked to the main story. 

 

On the double page spread Jason liked the pictures of the model and the surroundings she was in. He also mentioned how the article and titles were all easy to read and in a clear format. Jason also liked how the album cover was incorporated. 

This feedback is from Toby. Toby is 19 years old and it part of my target audience as he listens to Bastille, Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant and Walk the Moon. 

 

On my front page, Toby liked the blue colouration of the title that was also at the bottom of the page. He also like the photo and mentioned how having her hair over her face made her look secretive. Toby liked the different sized fonts as it made the front cover look interesting. He also mentioned how I had used a range of infromation which made the magazine look interesting and informative. 

When looking at my contents page, Toby said that he liked how the title has been repeated and how I had incorporated the O and the C. He also liked how information was seperated into the different sections and he said that would help the reader negotiate the magazine. Toby mentioned how the clear use of text size and font simplified the contents page and stopped it from becoming too complicated. He also liked the contrast between the black and white photo and the others. Toby said he liked how the www address, as well as the facebook and twitter logos were added as this 'Acknowledges how people today use these formats as a way of communicating'. 

 

On the double page spread, Toby liked the format in which the article was written. He also liked how the colour used for the questions was also used as the colour for the title of the magazine. Toby stated how he liked how the images on the double page spread contrasted each other. He liked how the pages were numbered along with the name of the magazine. He also liked how the album cover was incorporated and how the image on the cover was black and white which was a contrast to the other images of the model used.
