Contents Page Analysis - Q
Q's contents page is split up into three columns with the third column being slightly larger than the other two. Some stories go over two columns whilst others stay to just one. This is in a pattern in order to give it a certain look. Stories that take up two columns are U2 Return and Alt-J. Other stories included that only take up one column are Aphex twin, Jimmy Page, Kate Bush and Johnny Marr.
The contents page has images of Aphex Twin, U2, Johnny Marr, Alt-J, Jimmy Page, Kate Bush and Double Funks
There is also a review section which appears to give stories on live shows, albums and singles. These stories include Karen O, Prince, Juliam Casablancas, Ian Dury. There is also a plus section at the bottom of the page spanning across the three columns. There are stories about Spandau Ballet, Paloma Faith, Kasabian and Ricky Wilson.
The colours on the contents page are the same used as on the front page. This is used so that the front page and contents page all flows together.
All of the images on the contents page have page numbers in them so that the reader can easily dinf out which story they are and what page they need to go to to read that story.
Above the title of the page is the issue date however there is not an issue number.
On this contents page the main story does not really stand out from the rest of the stories on the contents page.
The contents page also has a lure which says the reader can get free music for 60 days.
