The contents page for Kerrang! is split up into 3 columns. The images usually take up the width of one column however one image with Mallory Knox takes up the width of two columns. Other images on the contents page that only take up one column are of A Day To Remember/ Bring Me The Horizon and of Chris Motionless. There is also an image of the editor in the third column.

The articles are written under different headings. These headings are: News, Feedback, Features, Shots, Lives, Albums, Gig Guide, and The Ultimate Rockstar Test. This helps seperate up the contents page which makes it easier for the readers to read.

At the top of the contents page there is the issue number and the cover date.

The contents page title also has a strap line which is "Like a sat nav for your eyes."

All the images have page numbers on so this makes it easier for the readers to link the images with the stories and to locate where the story is within the magazine.

The colours of the contents page are the same used on the front cover which links all the pages together. This makes the magazine flow.

The main story of the front of the magazine is highlighted in purple on the contents page. This helps show the reader what the main story is on the contents page.
