There are also drop caps at the beginning of the paragraph in the article. This is typography and adds detail to avoid the writing looking to plain and boring.
There are a range of features that have been used on this double page spread.
There is also a pull quote that says "I just love dancing and screaming" this was a quote by Eva Spence. This entices the reader to continue reading the article and the magazine as it acts as a lure to grab their attention.
The image in the double page spread is staged however it is staged to look like it is an action shot. It is a group photo of Noiseniks. The photo set has a blank background.
There is also housestyle as the first two letters in every paragrapharein capital letters and red font. This links to the typeface of the drop caps.
The page design on this double page spread includes red paint splodges on the title and strap line. Also the red box in the bottom right hand corner has a sponge effect at the bottom. Using these on a double page spread just adds more detail and makes it look more proffessional.
