Target Audience Clothing & Accessories
Males
In order to show clothes that my target audience would wear I have visited a chosen website for both males and females in order to select a few items of clothing that they would frequently wear. These are a few selections.
This image shows a relatively smart jacket. This will sometimes be worn with longish hair slicked to the side in a neat manner. Underneath the coat the blue shirt gives a nice contrast to the grey jacket which sttracts your attention. Indie people like to have clothes that attract your attention and stand out as they like to be different from everybody else.
The dark grey skinny jeans is also a popular choice different from mainstream blue jeans.
This outfit is very similar to the other except the colour of the coat is very bright and luminous.
Again on this model the shirt is very different, this time with quite an outstandish pattern which are often favourites among indie people.
Bomber jackets, like the one in this photo are very popular among my target audience as they are considered very individual.
THe dark black jeans again make an appearance as this colour tend to be most popular with Indie Rock people followed by dark grey and dark blue.
Men are often seen wearing bracelets like the ones seen here. These are usually fabric or leather and are woven.
Doc Martins are a popular shoes brand among Indie Rock individuals.
Watches like this one are popular amongst indie scensters as they are different from usual watches found on the highstreet. This particular watch has quite an interesting face on it which is quite plain but attractive at the same time.
Individuals from my target audience will also wear beanies alot, usually to cover up relatively long hair or keep it out of their face. It it not uncommon to see an indie scenester wear a beanie like this one.
Bandanas like this are incredibly popular with Indie scenesters. It is most commonly seen to appear to keep their hair out of their faces brushing it upwards. Bandanas are incredibly popular at festivals, especially Indie Rock festivals such as Reading.
Backpacks like this one are also worn. This varies from the very mainstream fabric backpacks that are seen around today.
Sunglasses are another very popular accessory that indie scenesters must have. These designs usually vary from typical mainstream designs and basic shapes. Colours such as tortoise shell are also popular among indie scenesters.
Females
The photo on the left shows a very indie styled outfit. the contrasts between the stripey top and the light denim dungarees is very individual.
The denim dungarees are also slightly oversized which is very popular within the indie scene at the moment.
The shoes are canvas trainers very similar to converse.
This outift also reinforces the popularity of oversized clothes.
This model is wearing light blue ripped mom jeans which are oversized. A baggy top is then tucked into them.
The bottoms of the mom jeans are rolled up to above the ankle and the model is wearing patent boots of the Doc Martin style.
Similar to men, sunglasses are a popular accessory. Womens sunglasses have evolved even more to created weird shapes, for instance large round sunglasses and large hexagonal sunglasses. The range of colour shown here explains the variety open to individuals.
Again this outfit reinforces the oversized lookfor Indie Scenesters. The model is wearing dark grey/blue mom jeans which are rolled up above the ankles. The model is also wearing a contrasting black and white striped top. A grey beanie is also being worn.
A light grey backpack can also be seen.
The shoes worn by this model are black and white trainer shoes.
Indie scenesters like to have quite detailed jewellery that is different from the other mainstream items found on the highstreet. This green air of earrings shows the type of jewellery they like.
Bangles and bracelets like this one are also very common amongst my target audience. It is also common to see more than one bracelet on a wrist.
Ear cuffs are another popular choice from Indie people. This is usually because they like to decorate especially their hands and ears with lots of jewellery.
These two watches are both very different but both are the kind of accessories that Indie Scenesters would own. This is because they are very different to standard watches on the market. The one of the left is very retro and has a vintage feel. The one on the right also has a vintage feel to it and it looks very different to normal watches that are popular among mainstream indiviuals today.
This is the type of bag that Indie people would use. Backpacks are especially popular among Indie scensters.
